    Stoplight sensor thingy

Does anyone know if those devices they sell (like on ebay) that mount underneath the bike for tripping the stoplight sensors really work?

Don't waste your money. Pull up with one of the sensor wires on the left side of your bike. Put the bike in neutral and drop the side stand for a few seconds. Thats should trip the sensor.

I'm not familiar with your bike, but if it has a centerstand I usually tap that on the road once or twice. If that fails, just check to make sure there are none of that cameras that take pictures of people running red lights and wait for a break in the traffic.

I found out years ago that steel-toed boots do a good job of tripping the traffic signal sensors *Grin*

Remember to retract that sidestand before taking off . If you don't you will look like this

That is an excellent idea with the sidestand.

I usually just wait untill there is a break in traffic then go. I have had to do this numerous times.
