2 weeks later, the new headlight blew, again due to overvoltage. This time I thought, after replacing the RR, that $18 for a weak incandescent unit rated a 10 on the bogosity detector. Took the old headlight into Autozone and found that a halogen 5006 fits and works perfectly, for $6. And the beam doesn't look like it's shining through a bowl of Jell-O.

Headlight duh
When the RR on my GS450L went tango uniform last month, it took the headlight with it, but just the high beam. I looked at the part number of the back of the light, and ordered an identical unit through NAPA. $18 and they had to deliver it from Denver.

I went in to Canadian Tires snowmobile section and bought a Kimpex 100/80 bulb for about 10$. In stock too.
