    Cheers, Terry.
    Hey Terry,
Yea, your adapter looks similar but no disrespect, Focus Frenzy sent me a factory made adapter that is a splitting image as well - even had the exact same oil pressure adapter take off as yours. Using a plate seems like the simplest solution.

Man, I really should have patented that sucker! (except I couldn't, considering that I took some design clues from another "period" adapter manufacturer, he he...........)

Just don't ask me for any info on my new spin on oil filter adapters, I'm not telling you anything! Cheers, Terry.

I had an old successful business associate who use to joke that R&D stood for Rip-off and Deceive, which he did very well.
He died a few years ago. I visited his phenomenal home in looking over Ashville,NC and when he showed me his garage he had three cars under covers that he had never mentioned. I asked him what he had. He pulled off the covers and one was a Ferrari, one was a rare bug eye Porche and the last one was the latest limited edition Whale's Tail Porche that he raced for fun on the track. Dude was close to 80 and had multiple triple by pass operations that finally did him in. If I told you the name of his company you would recognize it. His estranged son who had no interest in him or the business inherited the cars, the house, and the money from the business.

Ha ha, re-read my post mate, and you'll see that I pretty much fessed up to a bit of "R & D" too. I've got an adapter just like that in my garage, but if anyone asks me, it's MY design, ha ha! (mine does actually work better then the original, and that's true)

I'm still not showing you my spin on filter adapter though, it really is MY idea, ha ha! Cheers, Terry.

That's just sad mate, it'd be really nice once in a while for someone who actually deserves it, to inherit lots of money and interesting toys like that. Kinda makes you wonder where the justice is, eh?

Latest idea is simple plate and plumbing fittings. The seperate brass fitting goes down in the oil port and sends the oil upward - easy to make from a common brass fitting. The pressure switch shown is from Napa - not sure if the pressure threshold is low enough though. Experiments with this sensor were not favorable in the past, but I learned that the adapter was leaking internally (not capturing 100% of the oil flow) so I'm going to try again. A .5 psi switch sounds ideal so please share any info you can.

            .

Nessism, I did find the receipt for that low pressure switch. Sounds like you don't need it though. Where I had the partial flow setup, I needed a lower pressure for keeping the light off at idle. Anyway, I bought the switch from O'Reilly Automotive in August of 2002. I believe it was a Borg Warner, but it might have been a Neihauss (this may be misspelled), but BW bought them out. The part number was S4018.

What's the best way to mount a cooler so it doesn't get vibrated to death?

I used rubber grommets. Auto parts stores often carry kits for mounting wiper motors and the rubber grommets work well to mount a cooler.
