    Choke circuit

So, I'm going to work early last Saturday and it was a cool 56 degrees out. I had the choke on, and after about a mile of driving, thought I had pushed the button all the way back in. The rest of the trip in to work (about 7 miles) every time I'd pull the clutch lever and sit at a stop light, the idle would float between 1500-2300 rpm, and occasionally popping.
So, I thought, "Great, another weekend fixing instead of riding." I drove it that way for about another ,15 miles later in the day, doing errands, etc. About 5 miles from home, while sitting at a stop light, I pushed on the choke button again, and it went in about another 1/8". Smootyhed right out! Man, what a difference 1/8" makes. I guess the choke circuit can be really sensitive on these bikes.
