Winter rideing

The first thing to go are my hands. My hands start to move slower. The cluching begins to hurt.

My solution was to take a recycled padded envelope and cover the halves with ducktape cut holes for the bar and to fit over the controls. Tape in place onto the mirror arms.

It works great.

Mind you if my bike was in one piece it would make it a lot easier...

Last year I bought a Plexistar III windshield. It provides so much coverage that I only wear my winter gloves when it's below 35 degrees.
It's THE best winter riding gear I've ever owned.

here in sunny southern california we do not see much under 40 deg. in the 60s by 11 am.
the fairing on my 84 gs 1150 es is soooooo good at blocking the wind . of the 10 bikes i have owned over the years this gs 1150 es is great , wind is blocked by the fairing at 70 mph.so the cold never gets to my hands or face.

With snow and ice on the streets and a bum leg, I finally had to drive yesterday and today. The shame, the shame... I've ridden to work every single day since March 1, other than a couple of weeks off the bikes following two surgeries this summer.
