        1980 gs1000?
        looks like you need
16 M5x12mm for the top bowl
16 M5x16mm for the bottom bowls
8 M4x8mm for the valve throttle bodies
        8 M6x12mm for frame
        8 M5x12mm for frame
1 M5x15(?) no clue what its for

lock washers for top bottom bowls and medium threadlock for everything else.

Just a guess from trying to decipher the OEM numbers but you could try pricing it out on mcmaster carr to see what a bulk purchase would cost ya.

I had good luck buying a set from an Ebay seller called Wise Guy Bolts. He made good on a mistake in the set he sent me by sending the additional bolts without charge or asking for the others back.

He also said he can do small quantities of whatever sizes are needed.

However, I did not use his bolts for the carbs. Griffin did my rebuild (for which I still owe him a public thank you) and he has a local place he bought them from. Griffin used button-head socket bolts on the carb caps and they look awesome. I would suggest looking into those for connectors that are so visible but aren't as strength critical. I plan to replace the cam cover screws with those rather than regular socket heads eventually. The guy with Wise Guy said he can provide either.

Another place I found locally that can supply virtually any kind of connector is Fastenal. http://www.fastenal.com/web/home.ex They have a huge catalog of stuff. They don't easily do small quantities though. The salesman told me to break open a bag of 100 would cost an extra dollar. He was also willing to measure any of the bolts I had with me for nothing.

I'm trying to get a link to Wise Guy Bolts but our network connection has apparently decided I can't load certain eBay pages.

              Thanks guys!
I asked about the GS carbs because I figured that you would have more ideas than if I mentioned the slingshot carbs. You have and it will be helpful.
I made a list of screws on the BST36SS and will start looking around for the right SS fasteners.
If I find anything, I'll post my results.

I just take one of each down to the local hardware store, Nuts and Bolts True Value. http://www.shopnutsandbolts.com

They are reasonable and the people know what they are doing. Might give them a try.

If you are in the North West check out Tacoma Screw..
I got the 9 bolts for the stator cover there for $4.50

I'll post the cost for the carb set after I pick em up later today.

                              For the VM26 carbs

28 - M4x16mm button head screws with lock washers (caps take 3 ea, bowls 4 ea)

The rest are specials that will take a little machine work to duplicate like the pointed choke slider screws

I also got 8 - M6x16mm Cap screws and flat washers for the carb holders.

Total cost was less than $8

I did not get the carb body to frame bolts but that would have only been an extra $3
