Back to the original idea, ... it appears to work well on the outside of the carb, but you will still have to dip them to clean the inside.

Better yet, dip them to clean all the gunk out of the inside, then blast them to get any residue off the outside.

By the way, it's not French but Dutch, sir...so it would be
'bakpoeder' (sorry to divert from the original thread, Steve).

Normally labeled in both here. In this part of Luxembourg (5km from the Belgian border) French is the dominant second language (after Luxembourgeois). On the other side of the country (6 minutes' ride away ) it would be German.

We do get 10,000 Dutch riders here every summer, though, as the riding is a bit like Switzerland, but not so far away

        I think you're way up north,though, Antwerpen way ?

Looks like a pretty good way to just make a mess...we had blast cabinet and that would even get sand/glass dust all over the place...we would have to spend more time taping the lid shut and then cleaning the dust up than anything...I would think that it would be expensive to keep buying the soda just to get all over the place might as well buy a good blast cabinet and blast everything
