The problem is the largest OEM you can buy is 74mm for the 1150. 1166 kits are 75mm and require "snippers"

My valve cover gasket was lost in the mail for awhile. I made one following BassCliff's website. It came out good.

Unless I am building a "big" motor I will use ONLY Suzuki head & base gaskets. I've NEVER had one leak! For the big motors I will modify a stock head gasket or use copper. This way I have no problems. Ray.

I'm pulling the engine out of my '78 GS1000 this weekend to replace a leaking Vesra O-Ring / Base gasket. OEM's are going back in. I'll never stray from OEM again if possible.

I'm very close to needing a full gasket set finally, and from what I can see so far, I'm going to have to go with Athena.

I can't get OEM gaskets for my '81 450 any more unless I stumble across a NOS one somewhere, but I have already tried a few different places with NOS parts to no avail.

Guess I'll just have to trust to dumb luck that the Athena set is good!
