I will say he's got a great looking bike; I hope mine can look that good when I am done with it.1983 GS 1100E w/ 1230 kit, .340 lift Web Cams, Ape heavy duty valve springs, 83 1100 head with 1.5mm oversized SS intake valves, 1150 crank, Vance and Hines 1150 SuperHub, Star Racing high volume oil pump gears, 36mm carebs Dynojet stage 3 jet kit, Posplayr's SSPB, Progressive rear shocks and fork springs, Dyna 2000, Dynatek green coils and Vance & Hines 4-1 exhaust.

1/8 drill bit and 6/32 screw.
It's a 6/32 screw and a 1/8 drill bit. Fit's nice without any taping but the taper on the thread helps get it started. It's defenitely a shade tree job but I've done four now and they all worked out fine.
I've replaced carbs on my own bike with less damage but found reason to save others with more damage. Just depends on if you can find one or if you have the time to.
I think a 4mm screw with taped threads would be an improvment but most taps have a sharp point that would bottom out or not start at all on a hole this shallow.

I am totally trying this tomorrow! Mine just broke this evening - so choked.. Will definitely be supporting the other side of the posts from now on. I didn't realize they'd be so stiff coming out; my Kawi KZ had circlips on the outside and the pins just slid out.
