One piece VM fuel rail leak repair
My 79 850 has the VM carbs on it with the single piece fuel rail. Instead of O'rings this one has bumps that are supposed to act the same. According to my dealer these lines are discontinued. When I did the original strip and dip I lightly oiled them during instalation. On the first run up they leaked. Retore them down and cleaned them. Used a small amount of Indian Gasket shellac and let it tack up. Reinstalled with no leaksTags: None

The few times I have had them leak, I just put a couple wraps of Teflon tape on them.

I let them sit in gas for a few days, then put those O-rings on the ends anyways seemed to have stopped my leaks
