Seriously, I want to shoot and urinate on the moron who designed the battery location for this bike. My old 750 only required unlocking the seat. Yeah, yeah, I know it lowers the centre of gravity and all, but it shouldn't take longer to service the battery than it takes to do an oil change!!

Use Caution!!
It goes without saying, but I'm saying it anyway. Be careful when putting the airbox back onto a 1100EZ!!! I was just finessing it in, when it gave, trapping my finger between the airbox and the top nut of the rear brake master!! F^&#^'N OUCH!! I then had to rip the stinkin' airbox out to release my finger, which was bleeding all over the place. I hate having to clean up a greasy bleeder!

Ya, I know it sucks. I have a '82 1100EZ. Unbolt the rear master cylinder and move it to the R side. A lot easier. That is the main reason I switched to an AGM battery.

I never had that issue.........My beef is getting the rubber boot, between the front and rear airboxes, back on. After doing it 100 times I found that a little ArmorAll on the rubber boot is the trick.82 1100 EZ (red)
