easy motor stand made from a old gs frame.

hey guys i was in the shop to night and this damn 1100 motor keeps getting in my way! and i hate sliding it all over the floor so after stubing my toe for the last time i made a cheap and easy to build motor stand that will fit 750e 1100e and i thing the 1150 motors. not going to type how i made it i think most will get the idea soon as you see it. just wanted to post what i had done. thinking of adding some wheels to it. what you guys thing for a late night shop idea. got maybe 1 hour in to it. 1 6 foot stick of 2 inch box tubing and a old gs frame.

I hear what you are saying and I have a Miller 211 that I use for critical stuff but for knocking together stuff like this I use a 90 amp ****cago electric flux core wire welder all the time.

His welds may not be the prettiest and probably have very little penetration but meh... they will do for this app.

I have done some pretty good welds with flux core that rivals some newbie with a Miller on gas.
But then again I have been welding for about 30 years.
It also helped that my father owned a welding shop.

        Bruce.

Old frame welded to a plate of steel bolted to engine stand works for me.
