This little gadget works- less than a 10 spot I thought it worth a try.

It's costing me $10.50 for seals and $4.50 S&H.
I'm not sure I'd want to try and repair 30+ year old seals, lol.
Any idea what that thing does? is it just like a pusher of some kind?
Let us know how it goes!

Maybe not on 30 year old seals, but if you changed your seals, in the last little while and you get a leak this just might be able to save you the need to redo a complete seal job again.... ?

You'd be surprised- I used it on the seals on my GS and dug out good bit of gunk and the oozing leak stopped, hasn't leaked since- the seals are somewhat lubed so less likely to be brittle- I figured if it gets me through the season it would be worth it.
It acts like a scraper-

Might be a good tool to add to my tool kit for road side repairs.
I might try one, thanks Badooka!

In lieu of this tool, you can use a piece of old photo negative or a a piece of the ultra thin but rigid plastic used in packaging.
Good tip to try before you actually do change seals.
thanks for sharing.

Why would anyone pay ten dollars plus shipping for a tool
that you could make out of a piece of the side of a 5 gallon bucket?
Just sayin'

c'mon..for $5 bucks I am not going through the trouble of making something out of my re-cycle bin. This is a no-brainer if you really think about it. Just buy one for pete sake!
