How can it be completely wrong when it worked as easy as it did. Motor slid out as easy as could be. And no I won't try it by myself. I don't have the upper body strength, nor the strength in my hands I once had because of my arthritis. The way I did it worked and worked just fine for me. I'm not detracting what Eric did, his way worked as well.

I seem to have missed all the fun on my little hiatus. Someone care to explain why people got banned???

People got banned because others started crap with them..and they subsequently proceeded to defend themselves and affront them with facts and basically called someone out.

Then the ones that got called out and didnt like it cried foul and ran to admin and cried because someone had spanked them on the forum.

I hat to put it that way, but once you get thru the layers of excuses and past the smoke and mirrors, thats what it all really boils down to..running to the recess lady instead of fighting your own battles.

Eric was being a d!ck like always, so he got banned from the OT section.
Unable to express himself in the OT section, he proceeded to be a d!ck in other sections of the forum. Including starting d!ckish threads only designed to start trouble.

I guess Frank felt that was not very classy.

Yeah, that'll do it. And it doesn't surprise me. I figured it was only a matter of time before that lunatic got the boot.

No, much simpler than that. He got banned because he was banned. He was another that "didn't care what others thought" as evidenced in the video. I see a trend...

I must admit, he was the first member I ever felt compelled to put on my ignore list. He kept up a tirade because I ride a Kwacker and I got tired of it. I never complained to anyone, much less Frank, but it sure was a PITA.

About the motor mounts and him making this look easy in this video, there is a three part video on his channel where he re-installs the motor that gives you an idea of the process over all. There might be 20 mins of run time in all three videos, and the largest headache of the whole thing comes from the paint squeezing the tolerances between the engine and the mount ears.

First, I dig a hole in the ground, to role the bike into.
Then I line up a bunch of tree branches to use as rollers.
Then I push the motor out of the side of the frame, and roll it along the ground.
Sooooo EASY! I swear I didn't steal It from the Egyptians!

I just have 2 buddies hold up both ends and then I strap the motor to the wall and then pull the frame off the motor. So simple a caveman could do it.

Step one: dig a big ole hole...

Not makin fun of your comment or your idea; I'm all in favor of what gets the job done with the least brain damage.

But I just had to laugh out loud when I saw the first step of a process was to 'dig a hole'.

I can see this becoming part of the latest approved engine removal procedure in Chiltons or any manual.

Step One: Walk out into your yard, or other suitable area, and dig a substantial hole.

Hint: hole may be filled with water after procedure and used for livestock bathing...

But again, if it works - great.

                          'Dig a hole', killin me...
