    frame sliders

I saw a vid of a Yoshimura GS 1000 with frame sliders on it. I`m thinking about putting a set on my `79 GS 1000 E. Has anyone installed modern frame sliders on their old GS bike?

Nope, I just bolt my stator covers on.

Nice idea. Looks like he has welded to the frame to make it work though. Also some concerns about a single stress point with the bike's weight all going through it in a spill.....

The stator cover removed for left hand corner clearance on track I believe. You see lots with modified ones - bottom edge cut & a flat plate welded in to bridge the corner.
