Gs1150e seat stuck! Need help
As title states, turn key and it won't release seat. Any tricks or FYI on how to remove the seat without damaging any of the components? Also, the helmet holder that is supposed to come up and down when you turn the key is no longer working properly, so the holder moves freely up and down.Last edited by mex3000; 05-22-2018, 10:24 PM.Cristoph

Have that problem once in a while on mine, usually after being in storage for the winter months. Took me about ten minutes of playing with it to get the lock to release. Try some Jiffy Lube or lock de- icer with graphite in the lock. If a PO had sprayed WD40 in the lock, the carriers dry out after several months and it becomes sticky.

If all else fails, you can reach under the rail and pull on the cable housing.
I gues you ended up keeping the bike?sigpic
When consulting the magic 8 ball for advice, one must first ask it "will your answers be accurate?"
