    Polished valve cover GS750

Here is a tip for any of you that want to strip, polish, and buff out your valve cover. DON'T DO IT! I spent 2 weeks, and many hours here and there and it didn't come out all that good! Too many nooks and cranies to get it real nice and it's not smooth metal anyway. Looks good from 5 ft. but that's it. Should have just painted the thing and spent the time putting the rest of the bike back to gether and it could have been running by now.

I have to agree, I tried polishing the 1000's valve cover, didn't come out well

Maybe if you have all the right equipment and a lot of free time..... :?

    I'd rather be ridin'

If your not happy with it the way it looks, if it's off, go get it bead blasted and it will get rid of the mess you created and look so much better close up.
      NOT SHOTBLASTED, bead blasted.
