    Shock absorber options for GS1100?

    gs11.jpg
Need to replace shocks on my 82 1100E. Has anyone found a good middle ground between the cheap Progressives and not so cheap Ohlins?

You might want to check out YSS. Gazi is another option. You may have to order from Italy, though.

Hagons are good, but not sure who the US importer is now.
When buying Hagons, go at least one level above the cheapest - the cheapies aren't rebuildable.

Please keep us updated about your shock situation. My '82 11E has completely ineffective rears; severe, uncontrollable wheel hop under rear braking. Actually threw me once when I was sans helmet. It was OK though - I broke the fall with my face.

This guy is a Hagon dealer but he'd prob have to special order the Suzuki ones.... https://bellacorse.com/product/hagon...lassic-shocks/ or contact them at source & ask... https://www.hagon-shocks.co.uk/

If I had the budget I'd go with the YSS personally.

YSS has various grades, from OEM replacement, to race shocks. It might be hard to justify the top of the line version, but the medium grade were reasonably priced the last time I checked.
