I installed a 2004 GSXR swingarm in my 77 GS750 frame. I took a grinder to the inside of the swingarm bosses in the frame making sure to grind from both sides. It fits fine. Grind a little at a time. However, I do not know the differences you're dealing with...

keep swingarm in place bottle jack will often do the trick. One side or both need clearance? Clamp down side that does not need moving. Take it to the local auto body man. They usually take very little movement when they are not fitting.

Scissor Jack between them and wind them open a little. It’s only the peg extensions.

Both sides are tight evenly so I'm reading here a scissor jack to spread them

I used a scissor Jack from a Chevy Astro and a couple of offcuts of 2x6… worked great. Just go slow.

I've been watching this. I don't remember mine needing that much. It's been a long time but I just put one side roughly in place then pried the other side apart with a screwdriver between the end cap and frame while pushing that side in place. Then a punch to line up bolt hole. How much more space is yours needing?

I can't move the swinger up to the pivot bolt wo interference at the peg mount hoops so it might be 1/16" on each side so I'll spread them maybe 1/8" and see.

Is it you are just trying to compress the spring to allow the piston enough vertical travel to go over the mount? If so, maybe a coil spring compressor at your local autozone. If it's not too big.
Otherwise some threaded rod. couple of nuts and washers or metal bar, you could make one.
Or, the tabs are not spread wide enough to allow it to go over the bushing? and you need to spread it's ears?

The right side was bent in so I banged it out about even to the other one then used a scissor jack to spread them a little more

What swingarm bearings did you use?

The ID on the old swingarm bearings and the new one are the same

Once you get it lined up, the pivot bolt slips right in
