Brake fluid leak
Well just when I think its smooth sailing I noticed a few drips under the left side of the front tire. Appears to be brake fluid. Brake lever doesn't feel bad, hope its just a copper washer, will dive more into it tomorrow. Also if it is , I hope its a common enough part that the local dealer has them in stockTags: None

Most likely the piston is leaking in the caliper.Ed

Is that usually just the seal, assuming the bore and piston are not pittedEd

Whats the easiest/least messy way to get the piston out of the caliper? I want to pop it out tomorrow morning so I can figure out if I just need the seals or the piston too.
Thanks

Came out easy with the duct tape method
there are some pits about 1/4" from the grove in the piston. So I guess I'll be ordering the piston and seal kit at the dealer. Hopefully this will be the last thing I have to order this year. lol
Just out of curiousity, it there a way to clean the brake fluid out of the pad or are they shot?
