    emgo brake pads....warning!

I had Monday off of work and decided to put new pads on my gs850.
Being Monday, the dealership was closed so I went to the local m/c wrecker that also carries new parts. They only had emgo brake pads so thats what I purchased..Today was the first time tryong them in the rain.. I think the bike actually sped up when I hit the brakes. Beaucoup dangerous!!!! Grabbing the front brake full on I could bearly notice a change in speed untill all the water was dried off.

i cleaned the rotors off and have put about 200 miles on them, using the brakes gingerly and have done about 5 60 to 10 mph stops

You have to get them hot, then do hard braking, such as 60 to 10 with fairly aggressive braking, several times.
They have to be hot first.

Wimpy use of the brakes does nothing.
Three things happen, the heat cures the resins that hold the pads together,
wears the face of the pad to fit any surface irregularities on the rotor, and most importantly transfers a molecular layer of pad material onto the discs.
A lot of the braking comes from a chemical reaction between the pad and the layer stuck on the disc, without this reaction all you have is friction, that doesn't cut it.

            Or maybe Emgo pads suck.
Let us know how it turns out.
