    Looking for new rear tire

I'm looking to replace my rear tire for the first time. The manual for my 82 550l says it needs a 3.75 h 18-4pr. What do all these numbers mean? Also, where is the best place you all have found to buy tires?

That corresponds to a 110/90-18, in modern measurements.

I'd definitely replace the front tire as well, if I were you. If the rear is so old that it's using inch measurements, the front can't be much newer.

If you search the forum or Google a bit, you'll find explanations for the tire numbers and a list of good vendors, as well as links to directions for changing tires yourself.

(Yes, I know I'm being a bit lazy by not looking this stuff up for you...)
