    Rear Brake Pedal

So, I'm pretty sure I have asked this but I cannot find it at all. I have a funky doglegged brake pedal on the 425. I'm having a heck of a time finding a replacement as the PO or PPO or HMO tried to "weld" a new pad on the pedal after a suspected wreck. Does the shape and angle of the pedal have to be the same or can I just throw any one on there? Apparently, this pedal was only used on the 77-78 400 and the GS425.

If your current pedal has been butchered, I would not worry about trying to match it, but, yes, there is a shape to the arm that is supposed to work. Not all GSes have that same shape. Some have different bends, others simply have a different length, but you should get what is supposed to be on your bike.

Funny... I just welded a new pad onto my brake pedal today. The pad came off of a Virago and the pedal is from my GS450.
