1982 750 Katana fork tube interchangablility?

Looking for fork tubes for my Katana and having some troubles... I'm wondering if there are other GS models with the same or similar forks?

I would guess they are a 37mm tube so you should look at models with 37mm forks. Suspect the only difference could be length but should be similar. You can probably get away with a small difference longer or very small difference shorter (run it higher in the triple).

GS1000 GS1100 GS850 all have 37mm forks. 83GS750 also has them but they are much longer (fork is 32 or 33" from top of tube to axle centre at full extension from memory).
GS1000 is about 31" fork total length I think.

I have a reasonable set for a 781000E as a spare... I can measure one up if you tell me what you're looking for in length.

Thanks. I'll have to get a measurement off my machine. If there was a model with 37mm, Axle under fork front end I'd feel ok swapping it out for now.

A re chrome is very expensive
