gs1000 swingarm conversion

Hello all. I am trying to round up parts for a conversion on my 79 gs1000. I am trying to find out which mono shock swingarm is the same width as the stock gs1000. I have found that the original is 226mm wide (8 7/8"). I have found a good deal on a 06 gsxr750 but it is too wide (9 1/4''). Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Either machine some off the frame or swing arm to make it fit

Thanks for the replies. I know how to make them fit. I thought there were a few models that would fit without having to machine the frame or the swing arm. I dont mind making bushings for the different size pivot bolts.
