    77 GS550 Brake line question

I'm looking switch out my old 77 GS550 brake line on my current rebuild. I am switching out to a smaller custom Master Cyl. My question is this... Would there be any reason why I couldn't switch to a single brake line and do away with the two separate lines connected by the joint? I mean as long as the banjos are correct there shouldn't be an issue? Should there? I can't really find any info as to the Suzuki setup vs a single brake line. So I'm a little lost here.
    thanks

You certainly can do it. I did this with my '78 550 with no problems. The junction on the bottom triple clamp appears to be simply a manufacturing convenience to allow either single and dual front brakes, and it isn't necessary if you have only one brake.

Agree! One line is cleaner, simpler, more reliable, and cheaper.
