Fork replacement question (noob)
I have been in the process of replacing my forks on my 77 GS750, and I had some trouble ordering some 79 forks a couple of weeks ago. So I was reading this listing, http://choppercharles.com/cs/forums/.../ShowPost.aspx and notices that a lot of EX's are 35mm too and I have seen some that are straight forks too. So what I was wondering was, what are the differences I would see in handling or ride height if I were to buy some 81 or 82 forks if any?Tags: None

As long as the tube diameter matches, you'll be able to use them in your triple clamp. You'll probably want to replace or shim the springs, anyhow, so don't worry about ride height. However, if you switch from leading-axle forks to straight forks, or vice-versa, your original fender won't fit.
