    Replacing Front Brake Master Cyl.

I know there are about a million threads on this, but I have just about read my way into confusion on this.... If I want to replace the old stock MC on my 77 gs550 rebuild with a new smaller/custom one, what exactly am I looking at compatibility-wise?
    I believe my Banjo is 10MM with a 1.00 pitch. I think....
Now, I am not sure what else I am looking for to make sure it will work...
    Piston diameter says 13.94 - 13.96
    Bore 13.9 - 14.043

Sorry if this has been covered already. I have just been looking for a few days now and only finding myself deeper in confusion.

    thanks guys!

You want to get another master with the 14mm bore. There's one bore for single caliper and another for dual caliper, but I can't remember which is which right now.

Your banjo should be 10mm dia. Thread pitch only matters if you really care about not replacing the banjo bolt (which, if you're replacing the master, presumably you are not). Most masters use 10x1.25 IIRC. The old Suzuki 10x1.0 was the odd-ball.

I went with this on my GS450. Comes with the bolt, so as long as the banjo fitting size is the same it will work.
