    I got the HEL great lines, shipped from UK. Mine were very cheap !! They never sent the bill !!!

      I believe so, but I just sent him an email to make sure. Ebay does offer a little buyer protection, so if that's not what he's thinking I'll just whistle and and walk away and let you guys make that call

            Shipping was definitely over 2 weeks for me, I think closer to 3. I just figured crossing borders took the extra time. The red looks pretty sweet for those into that sort thing

            I double checked the thread pitch before ordering:


            All my banjo's were the extra fine thread, which agrees with the chart mike posted in that thread. I shared that info with the supplier too. I'm not a huge fan of the new double banjo, it was barely a fraction of a c-hair big enough to cover the inner tolerance of the crush washer. The included single banjo bolts are a better looking flanged design. I'd just clean up and reuse the stock double bolt next time.

              I purchase 4 lines from this eBay seller mainly after consulting this thread for two bikes that I am converting to the Kawasaki twinpots. Transaction was smooth, I just sent a note with purchase on specifications. Since I was using a two line setup, I specified that a 90 degree orientation with the 15 and 45 degree angled fittings. I figured the 15 degree would fit the Kawasaki calipers nicely and the 45 degree would angle away from master cylinder paralleling the handlebar to steering head.

              Less than week later, I received a small box with enclosed brake lines which was great since I had read that others have waited 3 weeks on shipment from the other eBay provider from Canada. (I am not knocking Canada, I just think things are shipped quicker from within states)

              Upon inspection, the build quality seems pretty nice, lines are much thinner than stock rubber coated lines, banjo fittings are nicely crimped and solidly joined. Everything appears great.

              Then I go to fit them. Well, it seems that I have overlooked one important detail. Both fittings are angled and they were made in a certain configuration offset by 90 degrees, unfortunately when I assemble caliper with bend the resultant banjo is angled away from master cylinder. Instead of the line pointing towards the steering head, it is now pointing straight out from handlebar and thus the extra inch I had planned has disappeared and the line is almost too short. Obviously there are two ways to construct the cable and the set I received isn't correct for my application.

              At this point, I have emailed company asking if they can reconfigure lines and address this in their eBay ad so others will not be misled.

              I should have listened to advice of others here and just made my own lines, then they most likely would have been perfect.

              If I would purchase more from this site, I may just suggest using a straight banjo on one end (master cylinder side) and then the configuration would not be an issue.

              Depending on any further correspondence with seller, I may submit a similar post in the buyer's review section with the outcome of email I sent.

                Didnt you have a choice as to which direction you wanted the bend?

                    I ordered the 90 degree offset since I was eliminating the splitter. What I didn't consider is which way the angled fitting would be orientated. This is difficult for me to explain, but there are two possible ways to construct the brake line with respect to 90 degrees offset. One set is with angled fitting pointing in same general direction of right and the other with fittings pointing to left. If I get some free time at home, I will try to snap a picture and post so you can see what I am trying to write. The company doesn't specify which direction it will be constructed and I didn't think about it until the lines were delivered.

                    One possible solution is to order the master cylinder fitting as a straight fitting, this will negate the problem of orientation.

                      Minor update, the company, Elite Parts, did respond to my email and they can "re-manage" the lines for my application. Not sure if they can redo mine or just make them the other way.

                      They also want a pic of the stock lines so they can make sure they have "exact angle orientation."

                      I have written them back explaining that the stock lines are not applicable since I am using the Twinpot upgrade with Honda rotors. The offset is the same but the angles are a little different. I offered to take pic of current setup with their incorrect lines to show what I need.

                      I will wait to see how they respond, I am somewhat pleased that they replied quickly and seemed to me ready to address my needs. They are also sending my suggestion to their IT dept so maybe they might add another variable to there eBay site.

                        Hi folks

                        I'm a bit confused by this thread.

                        If I choose to go the way of ordering pre-built braided lines for my 1983 GS850G, then is there anything I should be wary of, or specific about, when ordering? I was going to contact Z1 or someone similar and just ask for a set of lines for my model. Assuming I'm using stock handlebars, am I likely to get some surprise when it comes to fitting the lines?

                          Nice to hear from you again Assaf, I used these guys,




                          got all four for under a hundred bucks plus shipping. One thing though, make sure you measure your old ones and let them know, they will probably ask, just to be sure. I'm happy with mine and a significant improvement from the stock 30 year old originals.

                            I used HEL and GoodRidge.

                            Goodridge are made in mexico(according to the package)
                            HEL is made in USA usually.

                              sheesh, lotta extra work ordering them. easier to make em yourself, takes like 10 minutes, done, perfect. plus, one more thing you did yourself=extra satisfaction.

                                The main issue is that it's impossible to make "pre built" lines for a certain GS model since you have no way of knowing what handlebar the bike happens to be wearing.

                                The stock handlebars are a cruel joke, so they almost always get changed to something else. But if you ship lines built for the stock handlebar, they're almost always going to be too long.
