New Tires not seating correctly?

I'm getting mixed reviews guys.....are motorcycle tires supposed to Always "pop" when seating/inflating them?

My tires didn't pop....I don't know if maybe I seated the beads very slowly or something....(didn't load the air compressor with that much air)

But I took it up to 30psi....no pop!


Did I do something wrong?


I threw the tire hard against the ground and it bounced really good and hard.
It's not leaking.......

Should I re-try it?

30psi isnt mush. as long as u see the line most tyres have that run around near the bead so you can see if tyre is sitting square its done

NOBODY that has anything to do with safety in relation to tire mounting is going to suggest exceeding the maximum pressure on the sidewall, but I have had to go to 50 psi or so at times. Your best bet is to deflate them, re-break the bead, if necessary, re-lube them, then inflate them again. Don't be afraid to go to the maximum pressure that is on the sidewall.

Alright, re-tried it, got it on a little better.
On one side of the tire, the rim isn't lining up with the marker...just a tad off.

I'm going to soap it a little and re-try, yet again!
(or either that, just ride it down the road, hopefully it works it way straight, lol.)

NM, I got it!

Just forgot to soap 'em good enough! Doh!

They fit perfectly even now, still no pop....but they fit.

Can't wait to test these Avons out!
