    16" rear wheel search

I am looking for a 16" rear wheel, like the one pictured below. This one is off of an 81 gs 450 and is a 16 X 2.15. Does anyone know if this type wheel was made in a 16 X 2.50? My interest is that I want to run it on my GR 650 which has the larger size 16 X 2.50 rear wheel. The biggest difference I see is that the drum is wider on the 650 wheel. I know the rim itself is wider where the tire mounts. I was hoping one of the larger bikes might have had the same wheels in the 16 X 2.50 size and with a drum brake.

Far as I know the GR650 wheel is the widest with a drum brake. But I'm interested if somebody else knows of another too.

Aren't the brakes the same size between the GR650 and GS450? I know the sprocket carriers are 2 different sizes.......

Did you check the parts fishe catalog yet? The width of the rims are listed.

That said, I don't think you will find one. The 750T had a 17" rear with drum though.

I think your only choice a 16" is a late model rim and that changes everything.

Well, is the parts fiche catalog online somewhere? I have a complete GS 750 swingarm with disc and a 16" rear wheel, so that might work out. I just really want the type rim that I have, not the ones that came on the bike....weak I know, but it's what I want.
