Did a Complete Flush on Fluid but it turns Black
So this is my second time completley changing the brake fluid for both lines (dual disc up front) i have steel lines... the rubber on the master is in good shape overall the master seems to be in good shape but for some reason the fluid turns black very quickly (like within a few days i believe) any ideas?John 3:16Tags: None

Did you do a full brake system tear down and clean out? From your description it sounds like there is grunge in the system.Ed

I agree. Stuff will settle down into the crevices and will need a disassembly and thorough cleaning to remove completely.

thats the easiest way to get it out... you might be able to take the caliper off and spray brake cleaner inside the caliper and flush it out, but i would not recommend it as it may damage the seals. get a caliper rebuild kit while at it.

I dont know if the brake cleaner would cause the seals to swell up or not

Did you just change the fluid or did you actually tear everything in the MC and in the calipers down and rebuild both? You won't see any improvement unless you fully rebuild and clean out all parts to your brake system including the lines.Cowboy Up or Quit. - Run Free Lou and Rest in Peace

Any of the local or online parts houses will still carry them. It might take a week or so but it's not that bad.Cowboy Up or Quit. - Run Free Lou and Rest in Peace
