    gs1000 front caliper fitment

Hello to all i am restoring a 1979 GS1000E . front brake calipers were frozen and corroded from sitting cant use them would the calipers from a 1980 or 1981 gs1000G fit on my forks . i also have 2 sets of rotors the early solid style wich were on my 79 and the newer slotted style off of an 81 gs1000.

thanks to all for your replies dont want to buy these calipers if they wont fit .

They'll fit straight on. The later rectangular pad type calipers will give much better braking too.

What makes you think you cant unfreeze the calipers?

the mounting allen bolts that hold the caliper on the brake holder are stripped and cant get out
