82 GS450 Rear Tire
Hi, I'm new to the GS world and doing my first build. I have a 1982 GS450TXz and the problem I'm havng is finding a rear tire in the 120/90-17 size. Is it possible to go up to a 130/90 or even 130/80 I'm thinking that the 80 series would be to wide. My goal is to build somewhat of a cafe racer. The bike has been sitting for about 3 years so I'm going through everything and this site has been a great help so far but at this point the rear tire is my issue. Also so is it possible to just use a 120/90-17 that is listed to be front. Thanks for any help, Zaydoc.Tags: None

Welcome to the forum!
The Bridgestones and Avons mentioned by Nessism above get the thumbs up around here generally.
I can't speak for either as yet as I haven't made that purchase... but I will be in a few months, although I'm undecided as to which brand... availability and price will probably be what I decide on.1982 GS450E - The Wee Beastie
