    Tire age

I am replacing my 28 year old tires. Does anyone know what the maximum age for a NEW tire should be ?

5 years is the total life of the tire. They harden up with age and lose traction

New ones should be no more than a year old

Watch out for the discounted models -one member recently bought some that were 4 years old

I buy discounted tires from http://motorcyclesuperstore.com and I've never had a problem with them. The oldest tire has never been over a year old, and I wear them out in a year anyway.
