    Rapid tire wear

I put a new IRC Durotour on the rear of the GS250t, after 3k miles, I'm looking at something between 65-70 percent wear, which on such a light bike, with such little torque and a light rider, seems REALLY fast to me. I'm at somewhat of a loss here. Anyone have ideas?

Could be the tire or under inflated?
The only experience that I have with IRC tires is on dirt bikes.
Perhaps that model street tire is a soft compound? I am not familiar with it.
Maybe someone else here has used that tire before?
If you can find a Bridgestone Spitfire tire that fits those rims, you should get 10-12,000 out of the rear and twice that out of the front.

If it's chain driven, you could have a misaligned rear wheel. Could also be inflation or balancing issues.

I'm running IRC Durotours on my 1100 and having great luck with them. They 'feel' good and are wearing very well. When the time comes, I'll probably get another set.

I don't know anything about your bike but over the years, I've noticed that some bikes seem to wear out tires more quickly than others.
