    Braided Brake lines

Has anybody used or know anything about these guys for brake lines?

Rennsportautoparts.com I found them on Ebay

They are GB 16897 - 1997 DOT and SAE J1401

Prices are about $22 a line -- very cheap compared to others. no extra charge for colors.

I talked to them on the phone (located in Toronto) to see how they wanted to me measure for them and they were very pleasant.

I just ordered a set of lines from gtautosports, also on ebay. I will post some pictures of the actual product up when I receive them. My total was $88.90 including all new banjo bolts.

Monkey, can you post what bike you have, and also show us exactly what you ordered so the rest of us could follow suit?

If I'm not mistaken I think that's where SVSooke and Landshark got there's from... I need one for my 450 too but haven't decided where I'll get it yet.

I made my own, not sure if they're legal here in NSW, but I haven't been picked up on it yet.

As long as you do it correctly, homemade lines are fine. I have made oil lines for my car and for my bike. Brakes, I could probably do, but I got Galfers for $75 for 3 lines, so I could not argue with that.

Home made lines are the only ones that seem to be acceptable here. I asked about pre made lines and all I got was mocking for not making my own.

That's because they are easy to make, cheaper than most premade lines, and easy to customize for your exact needs without having to guess. Oh, and Earl's lines are some of the best quality available too. No way I'd gamble on ebay brake lines.

                      HEL lines

I went with HEL lines http://helbrakelines.com/

A little more money. However, they will build whatever lines you want
Pick your color, tell them the length, what kind of banjo connectors (90, 45, 30 or 15 degrees) As well as how many grommets you want put on the lines. Took about a week to get them.

These guys made my lines. It was a great transaction the only thing wrong was I got 10x1.25 banjos instead of the Suzuki 10x1.00.Think they are great value. Can't do your own much cheaper.
Here's mine on Old Yeller my 85 750EF project

And just out of the box

Ask for 10x1.00 banjos and you're good to go.

294?? IIRC I paid around 190 for the entire set - and I thought that was bad enough.
I don't trust my ability to build my own, and have them hold up when it counts, so that's why I went with HEL. But for those that have the tools and know how it sure would save a bundle.
