The contact patch of the rear looked less than the front, and the part that was on the ground was the part that isn't supposed to be!

Ouch! I hope we've all learned something today. I appreciate everyone's insight. That is a nice series of pictures, very instructive.
Thank you for your indulgence,

I can't fathom why anyone runs darkside outside of: Hacks, drags, and tourers with trailers. Especially at Deal's... HERP DERP

Free speech is the foundation of an open society. Each time a society bans a word or phrase it deems “offensive”, it chips away at that very foundation upon which it was built.

How about start with putting the proper tire on the bike! Not to say it can't be done - but if you're planning on doing more than riding in a straight line and still do that, well then... idiot is the only word that comes to mind.

Maybe fine for a drag bike but not so good for a canyon carver.
Ride safely friends.

Just looked again, I think he was flung free of the bike. Wonder what/who he landed on. I also noticed, between frame 11 and the next curve, maybe 100 yards he could have gone straight ahead, even the car tire POS should have been able to stop in that distance going straight. I wonder if he was a "no front brakes for me" kind of guy? in the earlier frames, where he should have been slowing down, his right hand is not even on the lever.Last edited by tkent02; 06-10-2011, 02:00 PM.
