Fork tube spring removal, rusty caps
I have a spare front fork set from a GS 450 L that I wanted to used the fork tubes from for my 450 S. My S has a hex cap, but the L has air valves and a flat cover that is really rusty. I'm wondering if it's possible the the complete hex head cap rusted away? Is there another way to open up these tubes? Am I missing something?Tags: None

I suggest soaking the top cap in some evaporust for a day or so to eat off that rust.Ed

Good idea, but my bigger questions is how to get hold of the cap to turn it? There's no hex, or anyplace I can see to get a wrench, socket, or allen wrench....
