Front Master cylider question???

I have a 1980 850L and need a new front master cylinder. Can I use one from other years and/or models? Or do I need to replace it with one from my year and model?

Just about any other "L" will work, as long as it has dual disks.

Because of the L's "buckhorn" bars, the master cylinder is set at an angle compared to the "standard" bikes.
