    Fork tube interchangability??

Just was wondering today if a set of upper fork tubes from a 1980 850 GL will work on my newest skunk? I took the calipers and they are both the same diameter. And they are air assisted as well. Thing i am not sure of is are they the same length and everything? The part number cross reference didnt list the 80 850 GL as a proper donor...thats why i am asking.

I would rather trust my bike to a "QUACK" that KNOWS how to fix it rather than a book worm that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix it.

Keep us posted chuck....I need one air tube for my EZ. Cant get the seal to stop leaking oli. Funny thing though it holds air.

The L tubes are quite a bit longer. You can make them fit if you're stuck but you'll need to add a spacer if you use the exiisting internals.
