Rear master cylinder bleeding?
I just rebuilt the master an caliper and replaced the brake line with s/s line on my 81 gs1100. While trying to bleed the brakes I cannot get the pedal to hold any pressure. I removed the brake line at the top of the master and thought that brake fluid would pour out but nothing. When I push the pedal the master fills with fluid but doesn't over flow. My questions are should brake fluid pour out when the line is taken off and or when pedal is depressed thanksTags: None

You need to get brake fluid from the MC to the caliper.
In order to do this you need to pump pump pump the brake to get the fluid down.
What you can do is remove the banjo from the caliper that is holding the hose.
Make sure the brake line is connected to the MC, pump the pedal until fluid starts coming out of the banjo..
Re attach the hose to the caliper, pump pump pump, then start bleeding...
Does that help?

Make sure you have replaced the rubber cup inside the master cylinder the correct way around, or the master cylinder will never be able to build up pressure.
You can disconnect the operating rod from the brake pedal and push it in by hand to get a longer stroke, in order to move a larger volume of fluid with each stroke.1981 GS850G "Blue Magic" (Bike Of The Month April 2009)

Did you completely clean out (to include the return port) and rebuild it with a new piston and cup set?Cowboy Up or Quit. - Run Free Lou and Rest in Peace
