    Fork identification

    Hi
OK story is I have bought a set of forks and yokes from a GS1100gk, these are going onto a GS1000 I am doing up. The question is do I have a set of forks from a GS1100gk...or...a GSX1100gk. I want to purchase a fork brace and seals etc. The seller was sure it was a GS and not a GSX but I don't want to shell out on some stuff that will not fit. I took the following sizes off the forks

    Tubes 41mm
Lowers 51mm at the narrow part under the seal assembly but above the mudguard mounts
Lower tops 61mm the bit under the dust cover.
    Between fork centres 204mm

    any help very much appreciated

    RB

I can take a couple of photos if that can help

41mm are not GS1100GK forks, they are 38mm.

Those are 82 GK forks. You need a Tarozzi brace number 24-0045. I just Googled the number and the only place that comes up is:

Pass if anyone else makes them - they are one bike only fit according to my chart. Spec is:

              Tube diameter 41
              Mounting point diameter 61x62 (yes - 2 measures, I don't know why)
              Centre distance 204 arched.
              79 GS1000S
              79 GS1000S (another one)
              80 GSX750
              80 GS550
              80 CB650 cafe racer
75 PC50 - the one with OHV and pedals...
75 TS100 - being ridden (suicidally) by my father

A couple of buffing wheels and a couple of polish bars.....followed by hours of endless fun and a black face.
