GS 650 fork questions
I have a set of 35mm dual disc forks that I was going to put on my 1978 GS 750, but I sold the 750, still have the forks. Can anybody let me know what volume of fork oil should be in them, and/or how high the oil should be in the forks? I set my forks in my 1979 GS 1000 by the height method as explained here on the GSR.1979 GS 1000Tags: None

Did you look in the service manual applicable to the bike the forks came from? Failing that, filling to 6" with the forks collapsed and the springs removed is safe.Ed

Take a look in the service manual for the 650 and it will tell you on the first couple of pages.Cowboy Up or Quit. - Run Free Lou and Rest in Peace

I only bought the tubes, wheels, calipers, discs
I never bought a service manual, since I only have a few parts. I was intending on mounting them on my 1978 GS 750 to get dual discs, but I decided on doing a GSXR swap on a GS 1000. I tried to sell them, no luck, so I'm giving them to the friend who bought the 750.1979 GS 1000
