Rear Brake lever Installation
Hey I was cleaning my rear brakes up and I have been having the hardest time getting the lever back on. I was only able to get it off with a hammer. I have been trying to open up the spline on the brake lever with a screwdriver but it won't stay open. Also I tried hammering it back on but it it is hard to hold the linkage on the back. Any tips would be greatly appreciated thanks.Tags: None

I cleaned it up and put some grease. It just seems like the brake pedal spline won't open up. Is there any good way to pry it open?

Just drive a chisel into the slot.
It will stay widened until after you instal it on the greased splines.
Then, knock the chisel to the side and out.
