    Tire help needed

Hi all. I have 1980 GS450E and I need some advice from you guys. I am trying to figure out will tire 90/90-18 (front) and 100/90-18 (rear) fit on this bike? Original tires are 3.00-18 (front) and 3.50-18 (rear).
    I will appreciate any help.

    Thank you all for looking

Yes they will fit. A 110 rear can be used if you want a little more meat.

BTW, don't be afraid to use the search feature. This is a common topic.

      Greetings and Salutations!!

      Hi Mr. buyer,

Normally I don't post in a tire thread, but you need your "mega-welcome".

I've collected a lot of tire information on my little website, size conversion charts, how to check the date code, how to change tires, tire vendors, etc. Have a look. As for brands, do a quick search of tire threads (Hint: Advanced Search|Titles Only| key word "tires") and you'll find the favorite tires for performance are Avon Roadriders or Perelli Sport Demons. For more moderate riders, the Shinko 720 or 230, Bridgestone Spitfire S-11, and a host of recommendations in between.

Anyway, let me dump a TON of information on you and share some GS lovin'.

I just stopped by to welcome you to the forum in my own, special way.

If there's anything you'd like to know about the Suzuki GS model bikes, and most others actually, you've come to the right place. There's a lot of knowledge and experience here in the community. Come on in and let me say "HOoooowwwDY!"....

Here is your very own magical, mystical, mythical, mind-expanding "mega-welcome". Please take notice of the "Top 10 Common Issues", "Top 15 Tips For GS Happiness", the Carb Cleanup Series, and the Stator Papers. All of these tasks must be addressed in order to have a safe, reliable machine. This is what NOT to do: Top 10 Newbie Mistakes. Now let me roll out the welcome mat for you...

Please click here for your mega-welcome, chock full of tips, suggestions, links to vendors, and other information. Then feel free to visit my little BikeCliff website where I've been collecting the wisdom of this generous community. Don't forget, we like pictures! Not you, your bike!

Thanks for joining us. Keep us informed.

      Thank you for your indulgence,

        Welcome to the forums!

I just got some Pirelli dual sports on mine, 100/90-18 Scorpion Trail front and 4.10-18 MT90A/T rear.

Ed's right, search would show lots of similar threads on the topic

And 90/90-18 is definitely fine as is the 100/90-18...
