lowering a 750e

anyone ever or know how to lower a 83 750e mono shock. ive picked up a few off c/l and would like to lower one for parkinglot use or the strip

Tough to do on an '83 with air forks. At the rear you would have to buy a shock for upwards of a grand with ride height adjustment or do some work on the stock suspension to make it adjustable, and it would take a lot of work to do that. Up front the forks are air adjustable. You would need to run a set of Progressive or Sonic springs with no air in the forks and seal off the air holes in the tubes so you don't have oil squirting out when the forks compress. Then the forks can be brought up in the triples to lower the front.
