    7.25" rims?

Are there any sports bikes out there with 7.25 X 17 3 spoke rims?

Guy said he measured the rim and it was 7.25... Where exactly on the rim do you take the measurements for width? Also, aren't most rims marked with the width?

Far as I knew, Busa's had one of the widest stock at 6.0

The width and diameter of a wheel are supposed to be measured on the inside surfaces, as shown in the picture below.

It's possible that he was measuring on the outside of the rim.

      Yep, that's what I thought.

He emailed back saying that his initial measurements were for the outside, and that the inner measure from bead to bead was 6.0".

The widest GSXR wheel was 5.5. Hayabusa uses a 3 spoke S curved rear wheel on the 08's + and measure 6.0" However the openings at the base of the spokes are triangular and not round like this wheel, and the rotor is a 6 bolt pattern.

ZX R's us a curved three spoke wheel, but I don't see any with the holes at the base of the spokes.

Perhaps he's measuring too high up on the beads and not at the base? Sure looks like a late 80's early 90's GSXR wheel/rotor.

Cush drive hub with 6 bolt pattern . If I could just make out the rest of the MADE part of the lettering at 1 oclock, I bet it says japan

          5 o'clock 17X MT5.5

          Question answered...

I asked if the measurements were on the rim...guy said no...
