    81 GS1100E front end swaps?

I am sure this has been asked before but i was wondering if a 93-95 GSXR (off of a 750,1100) front end fit on an 81 GS1100E? Without modification to the neck or the the triple trees of the donor GSXR front end. I am sure someone out there has done a similar swap and i am just entertaining the idea if is not to difficut. Thanks for the time, and any info.

You will have to made a new steering stopper.
I usually weld a new tab on the frame, other drill hole and put bolts for steering stop.
Other than that, its bolt on.

There is one thing to watch though and it's ground clearance.
Lowering the suspension quickly highlights a lack of ground clearance going around the bends.
I had this issue with the mod I did on my GS 1000 equipped with GSXR 2nd gen components....
Are you doing a restoration project of some kind on a GS? Let everyone see what you are doing by posting the details here.
