    brake master problem

I have bought a suzuki bandit 1200 front brake master cylinder because my original was goosed.

I was sure the banjo bolts were the same, but unfortunately there not... the bandit one say 5/8 on the side which I thought the gs1000 was.

also the bandit one has a banjo bolt with 2 hols in it as apposed to the one holee in the gs1000 banjo bolt

so my question is... have i just wasted my money, or is this fixable? can I get a smaller bolt in the right size ?

    any help appreciated

Your bandit double hole banjo is so that 2 brake hoses run straight from the MC to the calipers rather than 1 from the MC to a splitter.

I thought that all Suzuki banjo threads were M10 1.25 thread so your old banjo should fit. Have a look here though (unsure of the year of your bandit MC so you might need to check):

Older Suzukis, like our GS models, use 10 X 1.0mm threads on the banjos.

      Most later models use 10 X 1.25mm.

Some bikes even use a mix of thread pitches. THAT'S fun.

        master cylinder

Its from a MK1 Bandit so first model, the bolt on the old gs1000 master cylinder looks massive but, not got it to hand to check.

If existing master cylinder banjo bolt is to big, can i just get a smaller one to fit? how does that fit when it comes to the brake line loop? i.e will it be to big?
